Hi, I'm Chelsea.

I am a psychotherapist specializing in helping clients recover from trauma, loss, anxiety, and depression, and I train other therapists to do the same.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been providing therapy to victims of violent crimes, terrorism, and traumatic loss in New York, California, and London. My work has been in hospitals, clinics, non-profit community agencies, and in clients’ homes. I also conduct pro-bono psychological evaluations for those seeking asylum in the U.S. and train medical students to do comprehensive cross-cultural assessments.

I opened my private practice during the pandemic, and have loved the real collaboration that can happen when clients and I direct the course of our work based on their treatment goals.

I’m certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have trained in ACT, DBT, and IFS. I’m level 2 trained in Prolonged Grief Treatment from Columbia University and SIFI certified for clinical supervision. I’m licensed as a clinical social worker in New York and California.

I graduated from Bates College, got my master’s degree in Social Work at the University of California, Berkeley, and my post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Oxford University.

I conduct my clinical work in English and Spanish.
